About Me
Lou is a nonswede. Anita is swedish. Born in Karlskrona, Sweden. She immigrated to the USA when she was 18 years old. We live in Littleton, Colorado. We belong to the Swedish Club of Denver and many other Swedish clubs and museums. The picture of us was taken in Svea restaurant in Chicago in September 2009. We went to Chicago on Amtrak to see all the Swedish places we could see in a week. We have a motorhome and have traveled to many places in the USA and Canada. We belong to FMCA (Family Motor Coach Association). Anita is very good at keeping the Swedish traditions. She still speaks Swedish. We are both retired teachers. Some day we would like to take the trip on the Göta Canal. Best of health and wishes to all readers. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Lou and Anita, I am half Swede on my dads side. I am a teacher and glad to have found this site. What did you both teach? Hay da.
Hi Lou and Anita,
Va kul att höra ifrån er. Jag är född i Uppsala, Sverige, men sen 12 år tilbaka har flyttat till USA- jag bor nu förtiden i Amery- welcome to the klubb! Hope to hear from you :-)
Hi Lou & Anita, Just thought I would say hello I am the sister the author of this site referred to, in her communication with you. She is more the Swedish buff than I am, I sort of took on the Norwegian side of the family but have not pursued it to the extent that she has our Swedish heritage.
We heartily welcome you both to our website and thank you for your story. My sister lives near Denver in Brighton and is a motor coach person as well though not a member of the Denver Swedish club, I will have to ask her about that. We have local members who trace their roots to the Karlskrona area and have shared stories about their family roots there. Igen tack Terry
